Gentle hikes with good folks,
soaking in the beauty of the Sonoran Desert.

Because every trail is better when we walk it together.

Come for the desert trails, stay for the laughter & companionship.

There’s nothing quite like the Sonoran Desert in the cooler months—the golden light on saguaros, the quiet crunch of gravel underfoot, and the companionship of others who love being outdoors.

From October through May, Ken invites you to join him for gentle group hikes on nearby trails in the Catalina Foothills, Tucson Mountain Park, and Saguaro National Park. Once or twice a month, we’ll gather for a walk in nature—sometimes pausing for quiet reflection, sometimes chatting along the trail, always enjoying one another’s company.

Every so often, we’ll venture farther afield for a half-day outing to places like Madera Canyon, Oracle, Catalina, or Patagonia. These longer hikes (offered about once a quarter) give us a chance to savor more of the most beautiful landscapes southern Arizona has to offer.

About Ken & These Walks

Ken has spent decades walking in the deserts and mountains of the Southwest, Colorado, and across the European continent. For him, every trail is more than exercise—it’s a soul trek: a way to be present, to listen, and to let the land itself be a companion.

As a longtime chaplain, guide, and conversation leader, Ken knows the power of simply walking side by side—sometimes in quiet, sometimes in conversation, always in good company.

These community hikes are his invitation to share that love of nature and presence with others. Whether you come for camaraderie, reflection, or simply the beauty of the Sonoran Desert, you’ll find a welcoming circle of companions.

Together, we’ll let the trail remind us of what truly matters.
